How Do I Set Up Android Auto In My Hyundai?
What is Android Auto?
Safety is, and always will be at the very top of our priority list here at Wilson Hyundai and because Android Auto promotes safety by offering our Jackson area drivers hands-free access to a variety of their favorite functions, we couldn’t be more thrilled to have such an intelligent infotainment system equipped in our new Hyundai vehicles.
Thanks to Google Assistant capability, drivers can easily make hands-free phone calls, seamlessly send and receive text messages, access directions, and shuffle through music with voice command, all while maintaining a safe grip on their steering wheel. So, you might be wondering, how can I get this technology set up in my new or used Hyundai?
How Can I Connect My Hyundai to Android Auto?
If the Android Auto app is not already installed on your cellular device, the first thing you will want to do is download it from the Google Play Store. Once it appears on your phone, connect your Android device to the USB port located in front of the cup holders of your vehicle. Next, before proceeding to launch the Android Auto app, be sure that Bluetooth is enabled on your device. From there, the app will request permission to use this technology with your vehicle –– simply click “accept”.
Once you’ve got your device connected, touch the icons at the bottom of the display screen to access the following functions:
- Phone Dialer – Dial a number manually or from the contacts in your phonebook
- Google Maps – Voice-guided directions
- Home – To view a list of your recent actions and apps
- Media – Access compatible media and audio apps
- Exit – Exit Android Auto and view the other screens
