Hyundai Safety Features You Might Not Know About
Hyundai, of course, has never been one to cut corners and for this model year, you’ll be delighted to hear that further advancements in our cutting-edge safety department allow Brandon area drivers to be safer than ever. Our vehicles, with the help from ultrasonic radars, cameras, and sensors, will surround you and your passengers with a wide range of features that will automatically look out for you.
While you may have heard of some of the more popular safety features such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, and Lane Keeping Assist, here at Wilson Hyundai, we also offer a variety of features that you may not know about.
High Beam Assist
Manually switching your high beams on and off is a hassle but with our new High Beam Assist technology, there will be no need to worry about that. By detecting either an oncoming vehicle or an open road ahead, your vehicle will autonomously provide better eyesight on poorly-lit roads.
This feature is available on the following 2020 Hyundai models:
Kona, Kona Electric, Tucson, Santa Fe, Palisade, Elantra, Elantra GT, Sonata, Ioniq Hybrid, Ioniq Plug-In Hybrid, and the 2019 Hyundai Nexo.
Safe Exit Assist
Instead of warning your passengers not to open their doors when a vehicle is approaching, this intelligent innovation equipped in select 2020 Hyundai models will use radars to override an attempt to open the door until it is safe.
This feature is available on the following 2020 models:
Santa Fe, Palisade, Elantra, and Sonata
Ultrasonic Rear Occupant Alert
Once the engine is turned off, a visual warning will be displayed on the instrument cluster, reminding you to ensure that you’re not leaving any small children or pets behind in the scorching-hot sun. If sensors detect any type of movement in the backseat, the horn will begin to honk, your headlights will flash, and an alert will be sent directly to your smartphone.
This feature is available on the 2020 Santa Fe and 2020 Palisade.
Remote Smart Parking Assist
With assistance from a number of cameras and sensors, this parking system will allow your Hyundai to park itself whether you’re inside or not. The smart park function can be easily accessed with a simple touch of a button on your key fob and will also allow you to summon the car directly out of its parking spot in the event that another vehicle is parked too close for a door to be opened.
This feature is available on the 2020 Sonata and the 2019 Nexo.
